You told us Dia was feeling sluggish, and you were right. So, we’ve released a series of thoughtful improvements that make everything feel lighter (and faster). You should already feel some of this, but we’re not finished just yet.

Keep your Dia open for days, and it might start lagging. Or at least, it used to thanks to memory leaks. We found a few places where memory wasn’t being released properly—plus a platform bug that kept some views around after switching tabs. In some cases, that added up to gigabytes of extra memory.

Now that's fixed, Dia should feel more speedy (even if you rarely restart your laptop 👀).

Animations on the new tab page now use fewer resources. We tuned when they run to reduce CPU and GPU usage — small savings that add up, especially when other tabs are busy.

The command bar is faster. By moving work out of the suggestion path and warming up favicon and database caches at startup, results show up more quickly as you type.

 Include a description of what feels off and make sure the issue actually happens while you're recording ,so we capture it (and fix it)!
