A few tabs, a busy work day, and your browser can start to feel unruly. To be honest, Dia hasn’t really helped here yet… but that changes today.

This release is our first step toward making Dia your own—with a new tool that brings order and makes your surface truly yours. It may look familiar, but it works in a way that’s unmistakably Dia.

You can now group your tabs. By project, by initiative, or however you organize your work.

Whether you’re in the sidebar or the top bar, right click on a tab and move it into a new group. Add and remove tabs from your group with a drag or a click, and quickly collapse or expand it to keep your tab strip tidy.

You can customize each Tab Group with a color and an emoji or icon. When you hover over your tab group, you get a preview of what’s inside the group, and you can always select a tab from there.

When you close a Tab Group, it will automatically move to your bookmark bar as a little “storage” space for your groups. From there, you can relaunch a group anytime—or ⌘ + click to open it in a new window.

Group together the top of mind tabs that you really, really need to have organized. This could be onboarding documentation for your two new hires. Or a GTM initiative with a Figma file, strategy memo, and meeting notes. Or, of course, gift ideas for your office White Elephant party (might we suggest the MoMa store and a pair of socks).

Following last week’s release, the feedback was clear—more commands, please! Create so much more “new” right from the command bar, like blog, wiki, and jira. 


There was a bug where Resy sometimes would not load correctly. We've fixed that so you can get back to booking your reservations. 


While making the images for this week’s notes, I multitasked at my holiday shopping. High on the list: these red Esmé socks I've heard amazing things about. I used to think socks were a boring gift, now they're basically all I want.
