From review to merge to what’s next
Pull requests are where your work comes together, from landing production changes to vibe coding projects. But if you’re not directly on the GitHub PR page, there’s a gap between what you do and what you see.
A few weeks ago, we shipped GitHub Live Tab Groups, so you can see PRs that need your review without leaving your current page. This week, we’re dropping some improvements.
As you complete a review or merge a PR, you’ll see subtle animations that signal the transition from in-progress to done—so you don’t just do the work, you can celebrate it, too.
When your PR merges and Dia cleans things up, you’ll see it happen. No second-guessing whether something is still active or already done.
Simply hover to preview recently completed PRs and bring them back into view, whether you need to double-check something or pick up where you left off.
A little delight along the way
Not everything has to be purely functional. We’ve started bringing more expressive animations into everyday interactions—like the back, forward, and reload controls. Because even the smallest moments should feel like they’re responding to you.
From action to completion to what’s next, these updates help everything stay in motion, both on the page and throughout your work day.
