Lately, I’m most excited about how our tab management story has evolved. We’ve gone from users having little to no organization (and asking for it) to being able to organize in ways that match their own complexity. A lot of this power isn’t pushed—features like pinning are there if you want to reach for them. It feels easier to pick up than what we did in Arc, because it grows with you instead of being forced upfront.

We’ve got a bunch of people joining us in the coming weeks—here's how they might get started using our latest release.

On your first day at The Browser Company, you get an onboarding doc, filled with things to know, down to the WiFi password for the office.

 when you open links from the onboarding doc to automatically get a new tab group with that doc, and all the links you open from it. Every relevant link for will be together in one place.

You’re in a meeting with your manager, and want to show up prepared. You can now 

to keep it in one spot, no matter how many tabs you open. Pinned groups sync across all windows within each profile, and persist even if you close a window or restart Dia, so you’ll always know where Onboarding is.

You’re starting to write up strategy, but need to reference some materials you saw earlier in the week. Just attach the Onboarding Tab Group to any chat, and ask for what you need. 

 brings more context from your tabs into Chat, getting you answers fast.

You’ve made it through your first week, and you’re starting to get the hang of things. 

 by click the X of the Tab Group. You can always find it again in the recently closed menu or History.

. Our defaults are strong, but opt out if something doesn’t work for you. And you can always change once you’re onboarded.

Starting in next week's release, 1.17, Dia will stop supporting Manifest V2 extensions. Any V2 extensions you’ve installed will stop working and display a “no longer supported” message.

Dia’s built‑in ad blocker remains on by default, and most popular extensions update to Manifest V3 automatically. This brings Dia in line with other Chromium‑based browsers and removes reliance on deprecated, less secure code paths.

We’re ending support for Manifest V2 extensions.
